GFCF Bread




It took us a while to find a bread mix that worked for us and tasted like real bread. The winner: Pamela’s bread mix.


There are a few tricks to this bread. First, the eggs MUST be room temperature. SO you need to set them out a few hours before you cook. The eggs and water mixture need to be over 108 degrees. Use a cooking thermometer to make sure you are above this temp or your bread will not rise.


If you are egg free – we now are too J. Use energy egg replacer, one 4 oz natural apple sauce cup and carbonated water.


Next – DO NOT OVER MIX THIS!! Gently mix the ingredients and transfer into a bread pan. I use ceramic bread pans. They are what I already owned. Metal pans may cook differently.


Finally let the bread rise for 2 hours before you cook. The extra time allows the bread to rise higher. Two hours is enough, longer does not cause the bread to rise anymore.


Then bake according to the package.
