As I predicted, I got the gardens started just fine. Umm maintenance is a problem. These pictures are from 2 weeks ago. I will be working the gardens this week and update further.
Anyways… we have raspberries and the blackberries are just ready to come into harvest.

The strawberries are done. I didn’t get a lot of any-one berry. Once they start maturing you really need to harvest every 2-3 days.

I checked the pickle bushes and took this picture – cute huh?

The next day I moved a leaf to weed, and saw the 8 inch long cucumbers. Woops. Guess we will try pickling next summer.
We ate the lettuce and then removed that and the spinach. It had bolted.
As usual, I planted the tomato plants and thought they were so little and cute, how big could they get? Yep – almost missed the opportunity to put them in their little tomato cages. They should be ripening soon.

I have AN artichoke. Isn’t he cute? But if these 2 plants only produce 1 artichoke each… well, we will wait and see maybe next year when they mature they will make more.
The potatoes and watermelons are growing too. It has been a great wet summer so far in Cincinnati. Luckily God has taken care of the plants so I didn’t have too!
