More About Lisa

I am a Cincinnati Mom with 2 special needs kids. My son is 10 and daughter is 9.  You can read about their blog names in my post What’s in a name? Hubby and I will be married 15 years this August. It has been an crazy journey and we are blessed to be together.

I have struggled the last 10 years to give my kids the best education, food and treatments money can buy. Raising special needs kids is taxing emotionally, relationally, financially and physically. This website is my dream to break down the walls isolating special needs families and providing them with information to help them achieve their goals.

I have struggled to make ends meet, find time to connect with her husband and meet her children’s growing needs.  I feel there are not more special needs blogs because the families are just trying to survive.

Blogging allows me to channel my frustrations into analytical educational posts as if I were back in the classroom again. I have to survive, so I want to share every little trick that is helping us in hopes that it will help someone else!

I have also created Warrior MAMA Database.

Warrior MAMA Database is a resource for the Cincinnati community. My purpose is to make information about successful Autism and ADHD treatments available to the community. This website is not to be used as a diagnostic tool or as a substitute for medical advice.

Remember the beginning of the movie Jerry McGuire when Jerry writes his “mission statement” in the dead of night and sends it to all his associates. I had a similar experience creating this post. It was written when I was trying to define this blog, the Warrior MAMA database and you my audience. It’s a bit over the top I know, but what else is new!

Please e-mail me with ideas, suggestions or comments. I’d love to hear from you!
